The Pressons

Since 1985, Bryan and Paula Presson have worked in the Kingdom of Thailand primarily among the Sgaw Karen hill tribe people group located in northern Thailand.

The Karen number approximately 3-4 million in Myanmar (Burma) and Thailand. However, accurate population figures are impossible to obtain due to internal affairs issues inside Burma and the refugee situation in Thailand. The Karen are predominately animists and Buddists with a growing population of Christians.

The Pressons are involved with a team-based ministry consisting of two missionaries and five Karen national evangelists and church planters. Believing that the gospel is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes, the ministry's vision and

"...to proclaim the gospel,
make disciples and
plant churches..."
goals are to proclaim the gospel, make disciples and plant churches among the Karen hill tribe and other people groups of northern Thailand. We seek to accomplish these goals by holding regional evangelistic meetings, church planting teams, church teaching seminars, and leadership training. The ministry also operates a Karen youth hostel in the mountains as an evangelistic and discipleship tool.

We invite you to explore this website to discover what great things God is doing among the Karen and other people groups. We also invite you to partner with us in the gospel to reach the Karen and other people groups in northern Thailand and the region.
